Ryan was very observant and conscientiously noticed that my father was a little too easy to rouse while on a ventilator and increased his sedation (appropriately per doctor's orders) to ensure my father was comfortable and safe. Ryan was very thorough and careful and we deeply appreciate how proactive Ryan was with keeping my father comfortable.

I am thankful for meeting Dr. Justin Hayase during my stay at UCLA! After spending months of countless ER visits at several different hospitals, with no reasoning or solution to my symptoms Dr. Hayase was the only doctor who was able to diagnose me. He is kind, professional, and very knowledgeable in his field. He recommended surgery for my condition and eased my way through it, not once but twice. Now I am lucky enough to remain as one of his patients. Thank you, Dr. Hayase!

Just wanted to take a moment to recognize Diana's great work ethic and charismatic personality. I can genuinely say that despite the type of day I am having she manages to put a smile on my face. She is relatable and treats everyone as if "it mattered". She's always on the go taking care of business ensuring her station and even others (salad bar or drink station) are clean and presentable. She definitely deserves recognition.

Jim went above and beyond to make my friend's experience as a patient in the Emergency Department pleasant. She was brought in by ambulance after having fallen in her house. Jim was not even her nurse but when no one else was paying attention to her, he did! He even wheeled her out in the middle of the night when she was released and I was not sure of how to get her to my car. He saved the day. I cannot thank him enough. If more nurses were like him, patients would feel much better about their experience at such a stressful time. I am most grateful to him. Please forward my heartfelt thanks.

I would like to thank Dr. Christina Han, for the amazing care provided during my pregnancy. I was amazed by the care and quick responses I always received via chat (a chart app that I love). Dr took the time to educate me and make me feel less worried during the pregnancy journey. It is important to have and feel that you are in good care when your health and most importantly your baby's health are involved. Now I have a healthy boy!

I would like to recognize Dr. Jason Hirsch for his amazing care. I had surgery about 2 weeks ago and Dr. Hirsch took such great care of me. Made me feel safe, and heard. He explained everything to me answered all my questions and was just such an amazing doctor. He was so understanding and showed true empathy didn't dismiss my fears and anxiety. My family and I came down to experience one of the scariest moments in our lives as my mom was having a brain tumor removed by Dr. B.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Sohan who we first came into contact with in Maddie's Room. He was patient & kind from the very beginning and incredibly informative. His attention to detail and his care for others is outstanding & is very easy to notice. I enjoyed speaking with him about other things besides the medical info to help get my mind off the stress of the day as well. Everyone I have encountered during our time at UCLA has been exceptionally gracious and wonderful but Sohan stuck out to me because to some his job may not seem that important but to me I see it as an incredibly important part of the big puzzle that is the care team at the hospital. This morning when we arrived to visit my mom in the recovery unit, he met us with a smile & remembered each of our names, and even asked about a family friend who had returned home yesterday. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Sohan for showing me and my family kindness during this really scary time.

Joselyn demonstrates endless patients and unwavering kindness in all she does. She truly cares for her patients and it shows in her daily uplifting greeting soothing voice and upbeat attitude. When your down call Joslyn she will help you through your difficult times. She is greatly appreciated by myself and my wife for all the time and effort she gave to me during my time in her area. Even when she was not assigned to me she would stop in say hello ask how I was feeling...these actions are highly valued and much needed to help promote healing both physical and mentally. Joselyn has made my stay a little easier to say the least.
